BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (HONOURS) IN ARCHITECTURE
EXPERIENCING, DOCUMENTING AND ANALYSING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
We are required to select an ongoing construction site which visibly demonstrates most of the subject topics covered in the syllabus. Our selected sites should be medium rise or low rise buildings eg. bungalow, terrace houses or maximum 4-storey building.
To identify different types of building elements and its construction process, details and materials. We have to study and record construction of different building elements, which we have learnt in this module. Specifically, we should be able to show and apply our knowledge in the details of the building construction drawing that we have to compile, thereby reflecting our understanding of the construction itself.
The parts that we covered during our site visit are : site safety , external works , foundation , superstructure , doors & windows and roof

individual part - doors & windows
After the compilation of all the individual parts that we distributed , we are able to produce an A3 documentation of construction analysis. We are able to understand and explain all the construction elements and its components as we all discussed and share the informations we gathered during compilation. Besides , we understand the current construction technology used on local construction sites under the assistant of the respective architect while we went for our site visit.
